Stone Mountain Park
A couple Saturday's ago my Mom, Keith, Aunt Margaret and me went to Stone Mountain Park to watch their laser light show. I grew up coming here every summer and maybe even two or three times a summer. My sister and I would also get to bring a friend. The mountain is stone hence the name and has a carving of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and Lt. General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. It covers 583 acres and took right at 57 years to be constructed. They have a nice lawn that is probably 3 football fields long that is on a slightly sloped hill right in front of the carvings. Everyone one brings a bucket of chicken and a blanket to eat dinner and watch the laser light show. We got their around 5 pm which gave us plenty of time to find the right spot, read, play a couple games of Phase 10, eat dinner and even take a nap. Oh, and if you are a people watcher this is the place for you. I stayed at our blankets the whole time so I was people watching and I noticed that 4 people had quilts and when they laid them on the ground the pattern was always towards the ground. I am not sure if they were store bought or homemade but still weird if you ask me. Enjoy the pictures!

The Pillowcase Dress Results
The dress is completed and probably took about 2 1/2 hours. It seems to long but I have to keep in mind that it was my first time making the dress and the directions were kinda homemade. Here is Savannah and her Auburn dress.
Her and her daddy.
She was telling me to stop taking her picture but funny enough right after I got done taking it she wanted to see what it looked like.
The armpit area, I chickened out and made it square. I also didn't double fold it.
I wanted to take everyone for their nice words of encouragement on this post. When I read them they made me smile. Thank you!!!

My Sweet Little Pig
Please read below before studying the pictures. I uploaded the pictures after I typed my text so the pictures appeared first. Also remember that you can double click on the picture to enlarge it.

I have been blog hopping this morning and most of yesterday. Toady I came across Eeloh's Blog and found this great post about piglets and it made me miss my little girl when she was a baby. When my little baby lived in the house with us. I had to bottle feed her 3 times a day. She slept under all the blankets in the bed and kept my feet nice and toasty. So here are some pictures of Miss Piggy in her baby days.

Enjoy!!
(I think some of these were scanned or either taken with my very first digital camera so in other words they don't all have great quality.)

Aunt Margaret's Table Runner
I gave my mother a much needed break and watched my Aunt Margaret for a few days while my mom went to visit my sister and celebrate her 29th birthday. About a month prior to keeping Margaret I signed up for a table runner class. I had totally forgotten that Margaret was going to be in my company and kinda freaked out. But because the class was only for a table runner I decided that I would incorporate Margaret and take her with me. So the day before the class she and I decided that we would give it to my mom and say that Margaret made it. Well, she did kinda. So after I got off work off to the quilting shop we went to pick out the fabrics. Margaret really did help me. I gave her a few choice for each color scheme and she picked which one we got. Also at the class she handed me strips to so together so the order that the colors are in are all because of sweet Margaret.

The Bed I Want Built
A blogging friend Rachel also post about furniture and clothes she wants. So I figured I would to.
I just love this bed, I love it for three reason 1. It has storage underneath so that would give us more space in our bedroom as we could put clothes in the drawers, 2. It is a dark colored wood. Currently our furniture is a light oak color. I got it when I was in high school so it is still in really good shape but I want a grown looking bed. 3. It would eliminate having a box spring. So if and when we upgrade our mattresses it would be cheaper.

All About Me Quilts
I am planning on making one of these for everyone in my and my husbands family. This is not something that will be done quickly but will eventually get done. So here are the fabrics that I have picked out for my sister and my Aunt Margaret who you might as well call my sister. I have a questioner that I am going to mail to everyone to get more details about their childhood hobbies and things like favorite food dream vacation and so on. That way I will be able to get the best fabrics to match them. I have a feeling I will not get them all but but I guess if you snooze you loose and that will be the case.
