The Veg-Table Garden

This man really has my heart or I really have his when I bring in a cucumber from the garden and suggest that we have it for dinner and then when I come back in for dinner he shows me a plate of sliced cucumbers in the shape of a heart, I know he is a sweet one.

In this 4'x8' bed I have pickling cucumbers, green beans, summer squash, bell peppers, radishes, parsley, lettuce (that is still hanging on even though it is in the 90's), basil, mint and some flowers to add another color besides green and to scare some of the bad bugs off.

In this bed (same size) I have pickling cucumbers, regular cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, bell peppers, banana peppers, okra, basil, mint, spearmint, parsley, radishes, flowers and another herb I can't figure out what it is. (Please check back next week, I will post more details about this mystery herd to see if blog land can figure out what it is for me.)

This last bed is pretty empty, half of it was used for onions which I just harvested 90% of them this week and the other half is empty besides a volunteer tomato plant that is growing back from last year. Do you have any suggestions what I should fill this box up with? Pumpkins or more squash and zucchini.

Now we have my tomatoes, I have five different variety's and know that at least one of them is a cherry type. Yes, the first two are a little sick. I could not get the lids off of them to allow for more water to get to them. But this picture is after two days with the lids off and a few good drinks of vitamin water. Before I took the lids off I was scared I might not have enough to can this year. And, I just realized I deleted the photo but you can see them in the picture below if I don't delete it before I hit 'publish post'.
This is a picture of my veg-table garden area as of today.

Thank you for viewing my blog!!
