Grass

Every year since Keith and I have been married we have fixed our house up some sort of way. I know it is brand new what should there be needed to fix. I guess you could say that we have been fixing up the yard. We moved in November of 2005 and in August of 2006 we had our driveway asphalted and then in August of 2007 we built the fence and fixed the front right corner of the property up and then this year again in August we had 12 pallets of grass delivered. Good friends Caleb, Cary, Britt, Jennifer and there boys came over and helped. We had 11 ½ pallets laid in 3 hours. I know how was that possible? I am not sure but I would say we were hard workers that night. With those 12 pallets just added that makes a grand total of 37 pallets of centipede grass laid in our yard so far.

UFC/Cake

So for my birthday Keith asked what I wanted and the main thing that I wanted was for Keith to MAKE me a birthday cake. So we went to the PX with my grandma and he got all of the cake making items that he needed. That same night and also the day before my birthday was a UFC fight that Britt and Jennifer were hosting. So Keith made the cake and took it to there house for the singing of Happy Birthday and eating the yummy cake. I know that it is not the prettiest thing but give him a break it is his first cake and he is a guy. By the way the fight was good and everyone should watch the UFC fights.

Hangliding

We went to visit my sister in Chattanooga and decided to go hangliding. I know it is scary sounding but it was really cool. The place we went to is the largest hangliding resort in the USA. We went to a big field and met with our pilot and we were the co-pilot’s. They suited is up in this funky looking harness and they clipped us on to the glider. The glider is attached to a ultra light plane that is a single person plane and as Keith says it sound like a weed eater. This plane pulls us off the ground until we reach our flying altitude of 2000 feet. Then we disconnected the rope that attached us to the plane and we were free like a bird flying. They showed us how to make it go in any direction and then we could fly it if we wanted to. It was very neat and scary at first for me but I would do it again. Keith went up higher than 2000 feet if you look at the pictures we look very high up but that is less than a mile and if you think about it in comparison to a mile it doesn’t seem far. This is an experience that I recommend to anybody. There was three pilots and they each do about 40 flights a day and they are still living so it is not very dangerous.
