A blogging friend Rachel also post about furniture and clothes she wants. So I figured I would to.
I just love this bed, I love it for three reason 1. It has storage underneath so that would give us more space in our bedroom as we could put clothes in the drawers, 2. It is a dark colored wood. Currently our furniture is a light oak color. I got it when I was in high school so it is still in really good shape but I want a grown looking bed. 3. It would eliminate having a box spring. So if and when we upgrade our mattresses it would be cheaper.
The only down side is that my cat Aubie wouldn't have anywhere to hide when the vacuum gets cut on :(.
So what do you think? I wish me and the hubbie were a tab bit better at building things.

It looks like it would be pretty easy to build. You may be able to find instructions and building plans for a captains bunk online. You would just need to adjust all the measurements. The headboard looks like a absic bookshelf headboard and I know you can find plans for that online.
That is a gorgeous super roomy looking bed! LOVE IT!
I wish you were closer, my husband is a carpenter and could easily build that. Of course he needs the side works as well anyways.
I love the idea of the storage drawers... I wonder if I could have him build something free standing to go under our bed like that?! We have a metal sleigh bed, but we have like no closet space in our room.
